The Budding Artist At The Kids' Art Desk

One activity that would actually be good for kids is taking up painting to let loose their creativity. With an abundance of painting kits, home-sourced colors, and those kids' art desk and easels, painting can be in inspired activity for those long afternoons.

Teach Children to Paint

Kids nowadays are too consumed with watching cable TV and playing video games. Not only is this unhealthy, but it can also hamper the child's originality and creativity. What can they do with the kids' art desk in the corner if you don't interest them with the paint brush and bottles of oil paints or water colors?

Just your simple crayons and drawing paper is enough for kids to let their imagination go to work. A kids' art desk will provide the child a suitable and more comfortable drawing workspace. It is important for children to have a clean and safe area to draw or paint. These desks are available in almost all quality shops that specialize in children's furniture.

Or, better still, teach them the to paint the creative way - using fingers, cotton balls or swabs, feathers, marbles, or old toothbrushes. You can still scrounge for several materials in the kitchen and in the tool shed for creative painting. For colors, you can also use coffee, egg yolks, and vegetable-based food coloring.

Set up the colors in separate jars and demonstrate how they can use get the colors with their hands, paintbrush, or toothbrush to paint on the easel or paper. Show them how colors change when you mix blue and yellow, for example. Do not expect them to come up with museum pieces, but let them draw and color to their heart's content.

When to Start Them on Art

Art is an excellent medium for self expression. As a parent, you should encourage your toddler towards art through drawing or painting activities. Painting is fun, and kids are sure to have a blast drawing, painting, or just doodling whatever they have in mind.

There are many ways to encourage your children to be artistically-inclined, but make sure that everything they do must truly be a fun experience. They must learn to enjoy painting, doodling, and drawing before you can give them more activities. You can start a face-painting party for the children. They can paint each other faces with FDA-approved face paints and have tremendous fun.

For the little ones, you can start by showing them basic shapes - squares, circles, triangles, and squircles (squares and circles). Encourage them to draw and tell a story, so give them a box of crayons and a set of coloring books and a kids' art desk where they can work comfortably. If you don't have the stamina to supervise them, you can enroll them in art classes during summer breaks.

Choose the right art desk that reflects the taste of the budding artist. You can select from the following for one child to a number of children:

* School bus themed art-desk chair
* Art desk with benches
* Art desk with paper roll and chairs
* Flipping table top easel

Just be sure, though, that the children are beyond the age of putting everything into their mouths and don't have allergies, and always ensure that their activities on the kids' art desk or easels are supervised.

When the painting and the coloring are done, teach them how to clear the mess on the kids' art desk. Saves you the trouble, too.

Been to your kid's doctor and seen those amazing doctor's waiting room toys and the kids' art desk your child wanted to take home? You can also get a collection of child-friendly toys and store them in lovable toy storage. Visit RonJuneShop.com today for toys and more toys.

All IP cameras come with a built in web server, so you don't have to worry about special hardware or software. You just set up the camera and you're ready to access real time images anytime and anywhere there is Internet connection.

All you have to do is plug in the Ethernet cable to the IP camera, connect it to your existing network, assign an IP address, and follow the user's manual to set up your PC.

Most IP cameras support password protection, so that access to the camera is strictly confined to the defined user who has a user name and user password. You need not worry about hackers logging into your system and getting videos of your home, given that you don't give out your user name and password to anyone.

The IP camera comes with a motion detector so that when it senses movement from anywhere within its range, it will automatically take a video clip of that movement and alert you by sending the video clip to your email or your security personnel. Other IP cameras may be set up so that it alerts two or three other individuals aside from your. This is useful so that when you're away from your computer during a break in or something, someone else is informed. You can also program it so that the alarm beep will be sent out from your computer and scare off the intruders.

When you use an IP camera, the recorded video can be stored into the hard disk of any computer. This way you can be sure that you have evidence you can use when you need it.

The video will be stored into your hard drives or uploaded to your FTP server. This makes it easy for you to find the video records you need - you don't have to constantly change video tapes, as you would when using VCR or other types of surveillance systems.

The camera can go on recording surveillance videos 24/7. Just make sure you have enough free space on your computer. To do this, you must constantly check the recordings and delete those that are of no use. Or, you can program it so that it follows schedule.

There a lot of different IP cameras out in the market offering different features. If you want to get the most for your dollar, make sure you choose one that has all the above-mentioned features. It's your best bet for home protection without worrying too much about you bank account. But when you can afford to, it won't hurt to get one that offers more.

Modern History Of Holiday Lights

Christmas tree lighters have spent endless hours every Christmas stringing lights on the Christmas tree only to undo their creation after the Christmas holiday season ended. All of the prayers of the Christmas tree lighters was answered when the pre-lit artificial Christmas trees was introduced in the late 1900’s. Technical advances in the manufacturing process of the artificial trees has created easy to assemble, realistic looking, beautiful pre-lit Christmas trees, with Christmas lights already strung on the tree. Today the Christmas tree light stringers do have a Merry Christmas.

A New Century Brought New Christmas Light Technology.

At the turn of the century the outdoor icicle lights started to decorate the rooflines of residential homes and quickly became the most popular form of outdoor lighting. Icicle lights are easy to put up and display a wonderful holiday light show for the holiday season. Along with the other verities of colorful lights the outdoor light shows are more festive and can be quite spectacular.

LED Lights are the Holiday Light of the Future.

The newest light on the Christmas scene is the LED (light-emitting diode) light. The cost of the light is more but the energy savings makes the LED lights the most economical light to date. An LED light is actually a semiconductor device that emits a narrow-spectrum of light when electrically flows through it. The color of the emitted light depends on the composition and condition of the semi conducting material used and the wavelength of the light emitted produces its color. Producing a true white light was the most difficult technical problem to overcome in there production. The first so called clear LED lights had a distinctive blue Hugh to them. Through technical advances in the past few years a true clear light is now available. Clear lights have been the most popular bulb color for many years. LED lights constantly illuminate when a current passes through them, but flashing LED bulbs are also available. Flashing LED bulbs resemble standard LED bulbs but they contain a small micro chip inside that causes the bulb to change.

How Christmas Lights Work.

Most of the Holiday Lights today use the parallel Christmas light wiring system. Parallel Christmas wiring provides more than one path of electricity for each light bulb to follow. After the current leaves the light bulb it follows two or more paths before returning to the electrical source. The parallel lights have two wires and each light bulb has its own positive and negative wire connection so if one light bulb burns out the rest of the lights remain lighted. To reduce the risk of overheating your lights, replace any dim or burned out light bulbs promptly using the same wattage replacement bulbs. The voltage of the lights does not change when another set of lights are added. What does change when adding additional sets of holiday lights is the amount of current that passes through the light bulbs. To much current flowing through the light bulbs will cause excess heat and blow out the bulbs. Most Holiday Lights today have fuses to limit the amount of current that will pass through the lights.

LED Lights Have Revolutionized the Candle.

Today new and safer ways to decorate are being developed. One of the newest is the flameless LED battery candle. The new battery operated candles will give any home a safe candle like feeling. These LED candles can also be used safely where there are no electrical outlets. The new flameless candles will never melt away, burn down and never need replacing. Just replace the batteries. You can enjoy candles for years without ever having to replace them. You can be safe and have peace of mind when using the new flameless candles. The flameless candle is perfect for party tables, wedding tables, and group ceremonies. You can also use the taper candle sticks for holiday church services, caroling, school activities, festivals, in holiday arrangements or for countless other candle uses.

Handmade In The Modern Age

While there is no doubt that our modern industrial world has added to the richness and diversity of our lives, it could be argued that we have lost an essential understanding of the value of making something with our own hands and we have lost our connection to mother earth.

The industrial age kicked into full gear in the latter half of the 1800’s, within just a few years of the end of the American Civil War. Before the start of the industrial age, nearly all products were assembled by hand and made by craftsmen who enjoyed creating the value that they were making available to others.

But with the rise in industrialization, every product once made by hand took on a level of manufacturing, so much so that today, most products bought and sold today on the world market do not have a single human hand touch the product prior to distribution.

In a world of compressed wood products and staples, it is hard to achieve the beauty of handmade wood furniture. In our world of assembly line glass products, it is hard to gain an appreciation for hand blown glass products. In our modern age of vinyl products, it is hard to experience handmade purses. With the development of plastics, we lost handmade luggage and outdoor furniture.

All around us, our world is changing, and not always for the better.

In the 1970’s, there was a full-service gas station at nearly every major intersection. Full-service has since been replaced with self-service, so much so that one can hardly find a full-service station anywhere.

Handmade toys have been replaced with plastic and metal toys manufactured on assembly lines. Wood and plastic designs, made as cheaply as the manufacturers can make them.

We have replaced all that was beautiful and handcrafted, with products made by cold and uncaring machines. Modern living has transformed the products we put into our homes, from works of fine art to efficient and inexpensive products that we have been trained to throw away when the products break.

In this new era, it sometimes seems as if the only things we have left to cherish is each other. Of course, we will always cherish each other, but our grandmothers had handmade quilts and beautifully manufactured furniture. Our grandpas had boots or shoes that were made by hand and taken to the leather shop when it was time to replace the soles on their shoes. Our grandparents even had mechanical watches that were valuable enough to carry to the watchmaker, when the watch stopped working.

Yes, those days are gone.

Before WWII, Christmas was chock full of gifts that were made by the hands of the giver. After WWII, technology began to stamp itself fully into our everyday lives and Christmas was transformed into a “buying experience” rather than a “making experience”.

When was the last time that you received a handmade quilt as a gift? When was the last time your kids made you something for Christmas? When was it when someone last made you a display piece to showcase in your home?

While I do know that few people in the industrialized nations make anything by hand anymore – an exception being the Rolls Royce and Ferrari automobiles – there are many people who live in South America, Africa, and Eastern Asia who still appreciate the value of making products by hand.

With the global saturation of the Internet, we find ourselves in a unique position that most people have not been able to experience in nearly one hundred years. As global retail corporations continue to shop for cheap, mass-produced goods to sell their customers, their customers have the ability to go online and find inexpensive, handmade goods that they may prefer over the mass-produced equivalents.

Many Internet retailers have searched far-and-wide to bring handmade products to their customers. Products that are made by hand, by real people in Africa and Eastern Asia can be found on many online retail websites.

In my world, that is a beautiful concept. It is wonderful to be able to go to a website and buy a product that is made by a real human, using his or her own hands to craft the product with love, care and commitment.

I love the fact that I can go online to buy handmade, but the thing that is most interesting is that one can frequently get handmade products from other areas of the world for far less money than an American, a European or Australian can get the same kind of machined products for from his or her local brick-and-mortar retail outlet.

If you are like me, and you like handmade products, then it will be worth your time to search the Internet to see what products you can acquire to bring good craftsmanship and mother earth back into your modern life.

Not all online galleries are the same. Some may only charge a one time membership fee. Custom Artwork-Make Money Instantly!

Custom artwork has been around for decades, but in today’s society many people are using custom artwork to sell artwork online for an investment and profit. People are learning that in this market you can buy incredible artwork from emerging artists for a low cost, and in a few months sell it at a much higher costs, profiting thousands of dollars per sale. Here are 3 easy steps to follow to make you a successful artwork seller.

1. Decide which pieces of your Artwork you want to sell

Now if you are an excellent artist with a lot of passion for the art that you create you may have a hard time selling your artwork and letting it go. If you truly want to be successful in this business you can’t be attached to the artwork you create. If you aren’t an artist and are just buying and selling artwork, I highly recommend you only buy from online art galleries. The reason being, local art galleries gouge the price of art, upping it to over 40-60% face value in some instances to cover rental costs, employees, etc. Online art galleries do not incur these costs and sellers can offer it at a much lower costs. You want to look for art from emerging artists, not famous artists yet. Art from emerging artists you can get for relatively cheap and in a few months when they are well respected and well known you can make a killing off of their work!

2. Find out what is selling

Many artists or art sellers starting out have no idea what to sell in this market. You need to do your research and find out what items are hot and what is selling before you invest any money into a piece of art or you create a piece of art in which the materials it costs to create the piece of art are worth more than the actual artwork itself. So many things are selling today such as Mexican artwork, tool artwork, skull artwork, framed artwork, zombie artwork, etc… These are some of the top selling pieces of artwork from around the world. If you are selling this type of artwork on an online art gallery you have a way better chance of netting more profit and getting a sale because people’s tastes and preferences change around the world. If you are selling at a local art gallery, cultural and societal factors can sway people’s opinion on buying a certain piece of art.

3. Set-up Online Art Gallery to Sell At

Hands down, online art galleries are the best sales places because of far cheaper costs, better chance of netting a sale. With local galleries, you are paying over 40-60% markup costs on each piece of artwork. It is hard to find a great deal at a local art gallery, all your deals will be at an online art gallery. Do your research and homework and you should have no problem getting a steal on a piece of famous artwork.

I wish you the best of luck and if you follow these 3 steps you should have no problem rolling in the money from this growing art market.

Realism Artwork-Selling At An Online Art Gallery

Realism artwork, or any artwork such as spiderman artwork, samurai artwork, phoenix artwork, Christian artwork, etc…can be sold on over 30,000 websites at just a click of the mouse. There is nothing that compares to online art galleries because not only are you showing your art to the whole world to buy, it is much cheaper and cost effective then displaying your art at a local art gallery. Think about it for a second, the art you create can possibly be more appealing to someone in Germany than in the United States. People’s taste in art differentiates across the entire world. Selling at a local art gallery will only allow local people to see your art. A lot of people are influenced by culture and societal values when making a decision to buy a piece of artwork.
Here is how most online art galleries work.

1. Create an account and log in.

2. Type in the name of the artist or price range. You will be able to see an online gallery of art from many artist around the world which can consist of an online catalogue, portfolio, art show, etc.

3. Study the pictures. People have ratings and comments on each picture as well so you can see what they are being rated by other buyers so you can get a feel on how valuable a piece of artwork is.

Now you can easily set-up your own online art gallery instead of using someone else’s. It definitely beats renting or buying concrete spaces to display your art. Artists or art sellers can create web pages through a subscription from a site provider. You basically select your design template, colors, background, text etc…based on your preferences. You can add images, links, categories, prices, comments, genres, dimensions, etc… to make your site more appealing.

Once you have this down, the money will start flowing in because it is all pure profit from now. You can buy artwork at wholesale costs without incurring a middleman (local art gallery) which marks up any art they sell. This is the only way they make their money so you can’t blame them. Buying from a local art gallery you will find yourself often times than not getting ripped off. Buying from emerging artists is the way to go. Study the art industry as much as you can. Knowledge is power and discovering the next emerging artists and buying their artwork for a low costs and holding onto it for a few months to a year is definitely the way to go. Investing in an emerging artist’s piece of artwork will be the absolute best thing that you could ever do. Many people today are discovering art as an investment opportunity and it is best to get into this market when it isn’t saturated. In whatever you decide to do and however you decide to sell your artwork, I wish you the best of luck. There is no better feeling than making a huge profit on your hard work!

Modern Artwork-Sell At Online Art Galleries

The regulation for investing in modern artwork bought from local galleries is a word called: rip-off

Most local galleries make at least 50-70% commission on anything they are selling. The only way to avoid this 50-70% markup on all artwork items such as Chinese artwork, military artwork, Jesus artwork, patriotic artwork etc… is to buy DIRECTLY from the artists themselves. Keep in mind though that the artists will more than likely not sell their piece of art cheaper than it would costs them to sell it to an art gallery, but you are still looking at a 50-70% decrease in price. That being said, if you buy directly from the artists themselves through online art galleries, you can resell these pieces of art at a markup price on your own online art gallery.

Online art galleries are emerging today as the place to buy and sell art. It is putting old fashioned local art galleries out of business. With an online art gallery, artwork is displayed across the entire world for everyone to see. With local art galleries, your artwork is displayed to only potential buyers locally in which societal and cultural factors play a huge part in a persons buying decision. Also on online art galleries, you can buy a piece of art for the same cost a local art gallery gets it for by buying directly from the artists. You can resell the same piece of art on your own online art gallery for 30%-40% markup and have your competition (local art gallery) beat by a long shot. Online art galleries are extremely inexpensive and offer a huge advantage over local art galleries. The time, money, and headache of listing your piece of artwork just aren’t worth it at a local art gallery. Not only that, your artwork is only seen locally instead of around the entire world! Not only that, if you go to art shows and meet some emerging artists, you can buy their artwork for cheap while they aren’t famous yet. Think of artwork from emerging artists as an investment wheel. You are paying x amount of dollars for a piece of artwork at this point in time. You can hold onto that piece of artwork for x amount of months to x amount of years depending on the increasing value and sell it at a much higher price than what you paid for it. Many people around the world are doing this on a daily basis. I am one of them. I started doing this 4 years ago, and I have never looked back since. Last year I made $567,836 pure profit based on my last year’s tax statement just by buying and reselling artwork. It is a huge business opportunity and the market is NOT saturated like many other markets out there. The competition is extremely low for buying and selling artwork and now is the perfect time for you to jump in. I wish you the best of luck!
